E.ON Kraftwerke is a part of society and takes on responsibility in many different ways. As energy producer we play a primary role in the region and are actively shaping its change. We encourage the economic development at our sites by investing extensively and by creating jobs.

In the light of empty coffers, public authorities are withdrawing from many areas of social life. Financing of culture, educational institutions or infrastructure projects is more and more left to the private sector. This opens up new opportunities for E.ON Kraftwerke as company as we are able to strengthen our regional roots on the spot.

Keeping on good terms with the neighbours

Especially the neighbours at our sites would like to know about our activities and projects at an early stage. This is reasonable, because our plants influence life in the regions. We take the residents’ needs very seriously and show ourselves to be reliable partners. We are looking for contact with the public and enter into an intensive dialogue to satisfy the residents’ needs.

Energy for children

Another main focus of our commitment is the sponsorship of children and adolescents. With the group-wide initiative "Energy for children", investments and our employees’ dedication flow purposefully to day-care centres and primary schools in the regions. In this manner, we would like to provide children of different social backgrounds with an opportunity for an optimum encouragement of their capabilities and talents. In doing so, the main focus is on education with regard to the subjects energy and the environment.
