Due to an increasing life expectancy and sinking birth rates, the average age of the population will increase. Thus, employees will remain in the work process for longer and young and qualified employees are getting increasingly scarce. So as to be able to stand up to the competition, companies have to keep their employees employable for longer and create new incentives for the employment of young talents.

Safety comes first

 

Safety at the workplace takes top priority for us. We carry out numerous measures to avoid work-induced accidents and diseases. For the high degree of safety at the work place, several power stations received awards during 2006. The E.ON Kraftwerk Irsching for instance received the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association’s certificate for outstanding performance for its achievement to have remained free of accidents for 4000 days (eleven years).

We encourage the compatibility of job and family. This is the only way to provide young mothers and fathers with the opportunity to keep actively participating in professional life and to pursue their career paths despite having a family. In addition, the need for a life besides work is growing. Only finding the right balance between job and leisure time will make us balanced and efficient for daily work. E.ON Kraftwerke tries to give consideration to the individual backdrop of life. For this we offer tele work, possibilities to take longer leaves of absence (sabbaticals) as well as flexible working time models.
