Siemens and E.ON Kraftwerke to build pilot CO2 capture plant for coal-fired power plants
Siemens and E.ON Kraftwerke are to build a pilot CO2 capture plant at the E.ON power plant Staudinger in Grosskrotzenburg near Hanau. The two companies are thus pushing further ahead with the development of a process geared toward climate-compatible power generation.

Three new pilot projects to enhance CO2 capture technology
E.ON Energie will work together with international partners at three power station sites to enhance technologies for separating CO2 from flue gases. For this purpose, the company has signed cooperation agreements with the partner companies.

Foundation stone laid for Malženice power plant
On October 6th the foundation stone of E.ON’s new eco-friendly, combined-cycle power plant has been laid in Malženice, Trnava region. The symbolic act has been carried out by Ľubomír Jahnátek, Minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, Tibor Mikuš, Chairman of Trnava Higher Territorial Unit, Bernhard Fischer, Member of the Board of Directors of E.ON Energie AG, Konrad Kreuzer, Chairman of the Board of E.ON Slovensko and Rainer Hauenschild representing general contractor Siemens.

Foundation stone laid for Gönyű power plant
On March 26th the foundation stone of E.ON’s new eco-friendly, combined-cycle power plant has been laid in Gönyű, Győr-Moson-Sopron County by Gordon Bajnai, Minister for National Development and Economy, Bernhard Fischer, Member of the Board of Directors of E.ON Energie AG, Konrad Kreuzer, Chairman of the Board of E.ON Hungária Zrt. and Gábor Major, Mayor of Gönyű.
