New Power Station Constructions According to the Convoy Principle

New Power Station Constructions According to the Convoy Principle

New standards in series

E.ON Kraftwerke is currently planning numerous new plants. In the process, we always test the technical limits with the objective of identifying currently realisable technology. Europe-wide, E.ON Kraftwerke is for instance the first company to make extensive use of the 600° power station technology.

We even use this know-how in several ways and construct the new coal fired power stations in convoy: the standardisation with regard to planning, manufacture and implementation saves time and money. Advantages also arise during the construction phase and later plant management. Experience made at one plant can be transferred to other plants.

Due to different site requirements and grid conditions, there are two dimensions for the output of the convoy series - 800 and 1,100 megawatts. Both are ranging far above the European standard. In Germany, the output of the current convoy series is 1,100 MW.

All plants of the future series are setting new standards in respect of energy efficiency and climate protection.
